About the Santa Barbara Yacht Club

Santa Barbara Yacht Club, founded in 1872, is the second oldest Yacht Club on the West Coast of North America. We are a family-oriented club rich with history and tradition. We're devoted to promoting and managing yachting activities, advancing the art of seamanship, preserving maritime tradition, and providing for the social and recreational needs of our members while being mindful of our important role in the community. We are a non-profit private club and membership is by invitation only.

Our professionally-managed Clubhouse is on the beach at the Harbor and boasts a large dining room, bar, and meeting rooms, all looking south across Santa Barbara Channel to the Channel Islands. Our Chef offers delicious meals Wednesday through Sunday including daily lunch selections, a Sunday brunch and family-style buffet dinner, and a more formal Friday dinner. We accommodate member-sponsored weddings, meetings, and private parties in the Clubhouse and on our beach.

It was my first time visiting the Santa Barbara Yacht Club. (We were invited by my brother-in-law who's a member.) The food was good, the service was amazing, and the views were spectacular! I really enjoyed it and hope to come back again!
