Founded in 1983, Bauteck Marine Corporation is dedicated to designing & producing small boats of exceptional quality, performance & reliability. While cruising throughout the world, Christof & Laurie Bauer realized that a good, hard dinghy was hard to find. So, after assessing the requirements for the "perfect yacht tender," Christof designed the bauer 10. In 1988, the bauer 8 was introduced & the newest addition, the bauer 12 daysailer, made its premiere in late 1996.
