Bad experience

Ron spooner was recommended to me as a very experienced mechanic. I hired him to service my 29' Tierra. We agreed that he would do a monthly check up on the boat. I bought marina keys for him so he could do this service. Never heard from him again. After numerous phone calls (it had been two months or more with no service) and my port engine was causing problems, I finally spoke to him. He said he was injured and could not work on boats. I asked him to return my keys. To date, (over 5 months later) my keys have never been returned and his answering machine says he is backed up but taking appointments. ?? This kind of "service" is what gives boat ownership a bad name.
