So grateful that a shop like this exists! I needed a replacement fuel tank for a Boston Whaler – Good luck finding an aftermarket tank because you will not. You have to go custom. Save yourself the time and give these guys a call. They do tank installs all over the USA – I am LUCKY and they are in my back yard so I had the pleasure of meeting them. With over 40-years of experience I can tell you the quality is tip top of line. They were very helpful with tips for doing the install myself – I am quite handy so this is possible for me to do on my own. What I cannot do is weld aluminum. I left this part to the experts. Walking into their shop was like being transported back in time to an era where stuff was just made the right way. Old school heavy equipment that will be around for centuries because it was built right from the get go. Fabrication shops like this are needles in the haystack. A generational business with an abundance of knowledge, craftmanship and integrity that is hard

Don't bother if you are thinking of having them make a tank for you on spec

They are only interested if you also get the tank installed through them at vastly over-inflated prices - not all boaters have deep pockets to pay those over-inflated prices...

1st rate and 3rd rate

Fuel tank for 22ft boat. Fabrication is first class. INSTALATION 3rd RATE! I would not recommend having American Tanks install especially if you are dealing with Vince Senior. Did not write instructions, did not follow instructions (even after I wrote them for him), used sub grade non marine grade connections, wire, foam (Home Depot spray can Vince? Come on!), AND his "well paid" mechanic forgot to put the loop in the venting hose. Wish I had only used them for the fabrication. Good luck.

Hired this company to remove/replace a leaking fuel tank on my boat. Their personnel are completely knowledgable,totally focused on the task, take no shortcuts, do everything needed for A-1 work, and everything was done ON TIME. Their work is impeccable. I would hire them again and cannot recommend them highly enough. If you have questions about them do NOT hesitate to call me as I will tell you exactly how they handled my scenario and I do not mind bragging about them. American Tanks are the best custom fuel tanks around. They removed my old tank, fabricated a new tank that fit perfectly. They were quick & precise!
